'Innocent until proven guilty' is a standard that exists specifically for and within the judicial system. Yes, it's true that we shouldn't just believe everything we read without question, but that doesn't mean withholding all judgement until a uniquely judicial standard is satisfied is appropriate either.

My parents gave the constant sex talk as we grew. If we had questions they had answers. Something we're rushed more than others for other reasons but I knew all about sex, birth control and condoms by the time I was in 5th grade. I've made it to 30 with no kids. Good job mom & dad.

I was gonna say....

Well sometimes it could be.

They have the perfect icebreaker at Science World in Vancouver. My daughters (5, 3)and my nephew (3) took turns playing this racing sperm game. Sorry that's so big. Too lazy to fix. Anyways, shows the detail better. There are obstacles to avoid.

I'm still waiting for the sex talk. I was just told if I needed birth control they would get me it.... Thank god I read books on my own...

I live in the UK and having a year of mostly paid maternity leave, with your job guaranteed still there at the end and accrued leave for that year, is the norm. Oh and employers are also open to changing your hours when you get back, or extending the maternity leave if you feel you need it with the new family member.

Interestingly, Miranda contacted me again and said that the reason he was told there was no manager was that the actual managers WERE out of the restaurant, and since the server was new, she didn't realize that in cases such as that, the bartender can function as a de facto manager. So their server wasn't lying to

"Microwaved as infants" is pretty fantastic, I can't lie.

You are a gigantic fucking dickwad.

1. Tips are for service. Most people working in industry think it's a God-given right. It's not.

hey pinkham: be satisfied with your pathetic life cause being a server is all that you will amount to.

You had an RSVP? Like they invited you to lunch and you confirmed via mail or email? That's weird. Do restaurants usually send you invites? If so, they should stop.

I love your use of the word retarded. It shows what a big boy you are!

No kidding, friend!

As someone who spent many years in the restaurant industry, I can tell you that on-duty managers frequently leave during slow times. They bank, they pick up supplies, they go to the dentist. The fact you characterize this as a "lie" says far more about you than anyone else. As does most of your story.

Hahahaha, you're a walking hemorrhoid.

I'm trying to figure out if you're a random troll trying to make the customer look even worse by impersonating them and being an asshole, or if you are indeed the customer and don't realize what an asshole you are. Hmmm. Either way, you're an asshole though.

kitchenette is absolutely the best place to bring assholes out of the greys. and then lambast them.
