Where did I say that Hillary has not helped Bill in any way, ever?

I didn’t say her achievements were largely because of her husband. That’s what people in this thread have imagined I said, so they could let off some steam against someone they incorrectly imagine to be a sexist troll. I said her relation with Bill gave her a boost that isn’t available to most other women.

It’s a pretty uncontroversial point of view, which makes the strong reactions my comment has received, pretty amazing.

I said it would be less likely that she would be President if she hadn’t been married to Bill. That’s a statement that is not controversial to 95% of Americans.

I agree. So how come I am a sexist for saying Hill has benefited from Bill, but it’s perfectly fine to say Bill benefited from Hillary?

I don’t really know whether the country was ready for a female President at the time. Britain had Thatcher, but I’m unsure how ready America was.

It is very possible. How come people here think it’s fine to attribute a lot of Bill’s success to Hillary, but if you try and attribute any of Hill’s success to Bill, then you’re a terrible sexist troll?

That’s not what I said. I said that is a major difference between Bill and Hill.

It is certainly possible. The only difference, in my view, is that Bill had a natural charisma that Hillary does not have.
