I washed all my son’s cloth diapers, held down a 40+ hour a week job, but I was really fucking lucky. I had a washing machine in my apartment, and I had family members generous enough to assist me with the upfront costs of cloth diapers. Most people don’t have that.

The cost is almost entirely upfront, and is hard to bear, but in the long run saves money. Obviously, not feasible for people who can’t front the costs for the bulk bin of disposables, but I don’t really think that anyone is advocating that the people this post is talking about choose cloth?
