You’re right, and of course, not all teachers are garbage like the woman who judged your hair or the woman who got fired. However, I do think that devaluing teachers, especially primary school teachers, allows for more garbage people to get into the system and spread their garbage to kids.

You’re right, however, teachers spend 8+ hours a day with children. If I found out that someone who spent that much time with my child actively believed in segregation of people by race, I would not allow my child to continue to spend time with that person.
