FF15 was the first game in the series that I couldn’t even make it halfway through.  I think this is a very good assessment. It also had some of the best turn-based innovations since Persona’s weakness-based system.

Personally I think Paul is a giant douchnozzle and a tool. And I also think Mayweather is a boring boxer, his fights are rarely fun to watch. I am THRILLED that a series has made the jump TO turn-based, instead of the tragic opposite (lookin at you, Final Fantasy). I’ve been watching my partner play the early Yakuza games to get a sense of the world and the characters so I can jump right in to Like A Dragon when we eventually get it.

yes yes yes yes. I jumped into the series with LaD, and LOVED it. Spent 80 hours doing almost everything in it. Ichiban is pretty much all I want in a friend and a brother.

I still need to play Judgement, but I loved Like a Dragon. I also wouldn't be opposed to them shortening the games a bit. After getting through almost any Yakuza game I feel exhausted and need a break from games. There's just so much slow dialogue.
