I’d feel bad for the woman who was having sex with Matt Gaetz while he on the phone with Donald Trump, but if she’s the type of woman who would willingly have sex with Donald Trump, I don’t feel remotely bad for her.

So... “I was too distracted by people saying ‘check for his pulse’ and ‘he’s non-responsive’ to notice that he was non-responsive or remember to check his pulse”? Right.

The defense is saying it was Floyd’s fault for being on drugs, and the crowd’s for saying “stop killing him”; and not Chauvin’s for using a hold that his own training officer said he didn’t train MPD officers to use as it was too dangerous.

It is absolutely mind-boggling to me that the US was by far the worst at responding to this crisis will get out of it the quickest because our populace is getting the quickest access to vaccines.

.2% of their population is fully vaccinated while .8% have received a single dose. Meanwhile, over in the states those figures are 19%/32.8%.

“Quick to assume, slow to admit when you’re wrong...makes for a good cop but a lousy human being.”

SVU writers room every week, 30 minutes before turning in their final draft: “Oh shit, don’t we have to give Finn some lines?”

Law and Order sure knows how to squander talent. We’ll never know what else Mariska Hargitay would have been capable of these past 20+ years but it seems like she has much more talent than SVU could showcase. Richard Belzer was wallpaper. Raul Esparza is wasted. Ice-T spent decades of playing a completely underwritten

It’s weird and ill-advised timing. But on the other hand Christopher Meloni not being a much bigger star is kind of a tragedy because he’s both intense and a criminally underrated comic actor. So I guess I’m glad he’s getting high profile work at least even though it’s in this crap. Which, yes, I will watch.

Amaro was terrible.  The only person worth watching in those seasons is Barba.  And his suits.

I thought it was hilarious that Finn knew all about why Stabler was there, and somehow never thought telling his actual boss was a priority. Or that Benson wasn’t told ahead of time once Stabler was selected for this task force and was heading to NYC.

I mean, fans of SVU don’t care. Fuck, a ton of them were upset Stabler didn't immediately propose to Benson right after his wife died.

I thought it was pretty funny how they dumped all over Cragen in the first (SVU) hour with this little line:

I like Meloni as an actor, but I can’t stand Stabler. I don’t watch old SUV episodes before season 13.

hcd4 said it well.
The underlying problem is rooted in the historical tendency to default every role to “white person unless otherwise specified”. And even when otherwise specified, there’s still the long-running habit of, “yeah, this part is specifically non-white, but maybe we can get away with casting a white

I saw a trailer for this and said “it feels like the kid from Aliens In America grew up and is now in another stupid sitcom” and holy fuck. It’s the same damn guy. How bad are the optics on that. Muslim representation on American TV is so bad there are so few shows where a main character is Muslim and two of them,

“While it’s primarily written by The Big Bang Theory alums”

I mean, I was always assuming Nestor was basically a glorified glory hole that Gaetz had groomed from a young age.

Exactly this. If you want to get good at this game, or Dark Souls, or any other difficult game, you gotta put in the work. This isn’t Mario Kart, or Assassins Creed or any other basic game you can get right into.

I kind of prefer there not being a health bar. It’s kind of less distracting that way for me. And the tells and animations that are added to the monsters help show progress as well. If the monster is slowing down, parts are breaking off, or it’s drooling from its mouth, then you know you’re making progress.
