We aren’t talking about an accident. We’re talking about a woman who drew her gun, pointed it at a person, and intentionally fired a bullet into that person.

And that’s fine with a mouse, because a mouse mimics the snapping motion your eyes make. When someone looks up, they don’t think “tilt my eyes up.” They just snap their eyes to where they want to look.

Why bother with even caring about intent then.

Hit someone with a car...well you hit someone with a car you clearly intended for them to be killed.

We also believe strongly in hiring local voice actors whenever we can which is why we’re thrilled Troy’s career really took off after working with us.

Not exactly. Eyeballs tend to snap from one point to the other, with little consciousness of the motion in between. That works great when you’re using a mouse, and your movement can be just as snappy as your eyes. Up and down become less a consideration than simply “snap to where I want to look.”

Some friends and I got together and tried to play some original Goldeneye multiplayer on an original N64, and we spent 15 minutes stumbling around completely incapable of shooting one another before we gave up.

Yes, and I think that’s because we associate a mouse with a “tracking” type movement; i.e. tracking a cursor, which translates to an actual, literal up/down movement (as well as the quick “snap” from point to point which mimics eye movement much more closely than head movement).

Being from north Texas, this is nothing out of the ordinary.  Fall begins at Halloween here.

Her actions before the shooting, dumb as they were, demonstrate that she had no intent to kill Jean.

Standard Y makes the most sense for an FPS because when you look around with your head in the real world you just look up to look up and look down to look down.

Not only are forcing him to play inverted, but you’re forcing him to play southpaw as well?  That’s cruel.

If I want to look up, I am going to move the stick in the direction I want to look.

Examining the circumstances, no reasonable person can conclude that Guyger intended to kill Jean.

Possibly you’re happy to see Vengeance done, not Justice?

Sounds more like she was dotting her i’s and crossing her t’s to ensure there was little path to an appeal.

The only way either will ever disappear is if they’re replaced by something worse.

inverting Y is insane unless you’re playing a flying game.

Sure, as long as you don’t think context matters.

You can be held in contempt and potentially jailed.
