Why jump to the devs not receiving a cut?

I’m not so sure.  This would fuck over a lot of indie developers who will see no money from used game sales.  It effectively turns the PC gaming market into a “big boys only” club, which would suck considering PC gaming has traditionally been the best place to find interesting independent content.  

Valve has to accept some responsibility if they provide you a game or application that causes harm to your computer.  

Which is why their opinions on the matter are inherently suspect, and should be viewed as inherently biased.  

Not at all. Overwatch is one of the most popular games out there. Its characters and game modes have been balanced, rebalanced and tweaked to the point that it’s practically a different game.

This is semi true but how would the devs know about those issues on day 1?

I’m going to guess the guys who worked or the Obama administration probably aren’t the most objective analysts of the work done by the Obama administration.

I detest day 1 patches because it’s stupid, you shouldn’t be pressing discs with content you know is broken or incomplete.

The bug fixing updates aren’t the problem.  It’s the ones that alter the game you bought into a completely different experience.

The “child” in question is an adult. Why would his parents have any visibility into his personal finances?  He likely dug himself into a hole, and his parents are only involved because they feel obligated to help him out.
