Oh, I’m still a fangirl but yeah, she sold out. And I would probably have done the same in her place.

It is also pretty unbelievable she did an Asian accent in her interview - that, I can say, is really crass.
Shocking.
I didn’t really think about Chrissy Teigen that much until she wrote about her post-partum depression for Glamour, and I think I started following her on Twitter around the time she got blocked by Trump. I think she was really hurt by this.
I’m obsessed with everything being tidy and my partner is obsessed with everything being clean. So we definitely don’t align on that, but we make a good team.
I don’t know that she mocks them so much as deems them unnecessary. And, yes, she does sell objects on her website. She’s helpful, I don’t expect her to be infallible in all ways. Her book covers cherishing what you love as much as releasing what you do not. It is very much influenced by her Shintoist practices.
Bless your heart, Karen.
If I stop my daily cleaning routine even for a just a day, the result is a deeper level of misery once I start up again, so I just keep going. My partner does a pretty good job of cleaning up, but it is def not equal to what I do. We have different definitions of what it means to “clean the kitchen”. We are working on…
Don’t forget Mario Batali, Guy Fiere, Wolfgang puck, or Robert Irvine. And why the Asian ones and not Paula Dean or Rachel Ray or Martha?
This was amazing and on point. Thank you.
I was with you until the whole her husband is a dork, it’s not about race or sex shit. Why do white people always want to tell you it is not about race without checking their internalized racism? I was not born in this country and yet I am always checking how casually racism is imbued into every part of our lives.…
Marie Kondo changed my life. That is all.
I usually find Chrissy Tiegen fairly annoying and even in this her “poor me” act was a bit much. But, man, Alison Roman came off so poorly especially in her responses on Twitter.
The Alison thing is such an unforced error on her part. The interviewer did not bring up Chrissy or Marie Kondo. The interviewer did bring up goop and Alison was like, nah, I’m reaching for these two Asian women to shit on instead. Mean girl and cool girl (TM) vibes all rolled into one.
They had the kind of cult that J.Crew formerly had. Their designs stayed true to what the cult liked and attracted new customers. The sizing was always a strong part of the brand and kept their customers loyal because they felt safe and good about knowing if they bought something a year ago and then bought something…
It makes me wonder where are people wearing this stuff to?
jcrew’s sizes stopped making sense to me, and everything just ballooned - cuts, sizes, the draping. i just want a regular button-up shirt, but now everything they have on offer have weird scoop-neck collars or the buttons don’t go up all the way and the prints are garish but not in an appealing way. although I really…
It was years ago, but the last time I was in a J Crew, all the clothes were papery, see-through. Nothing looked like it would last longer than one cleaning. Yet I was supposed to pay $100+ for a dress with no lining?
Honestly, the last time I went into a J. Crew (late last year - shopping with someone else), it looked like they were selling the exact same stuff they were selling when I was in high school or college.
“I stopped caring, though. Because I used to care so much. I was making it such an issue in our relationship. And in my life. It gave me so much anxiety.”
