That’s not how I understood Star Fleet transportation technology. The transporter is breaking you up into molecular energy and “beaming” that same molecular energy and re materializing it at the destination. Not copies using different molecules.

At least in the case of Star Trek transporters, everything you mentioned in Point 1 are pretty much covered. They’re able to scan the area for safe landing spots, though I suppose your thought about flying bugs could be a problem. Though it could be conjectured that some kind of force field protects the recombining of

This is a very clever idea but I’ve been unable to think of who it’s really for.

Come on. If they were there after closing and were asked to leave several times, they were in the wrong. That’s not the same as “using the bathroom for more than 10 minutes”.

If the car really was going 60 in the city, then it’s the driver’s fault no matter what. How oblivious do you have to be to not notice 60 in city limits?

Except that we’re not at Level 5 autonomy, yet. The driver is still responsible for paying attention to the road and certainly the driver should not have allowed the car to be going 60 within city limits.

Trouble with reading comprehension? He suggested nothing of the kind.

I don’t think the problem is that the media is covering these crashes. It’s that they over emphasize the crashes as though assisted/autonomous driving is causing more and worse crashes than humans.

I’m pretty sure I saw a glimpse of ant man in the trailer. No?

I’m confused. Wouldn’t any remaining bacteria burn up on atmospheric entry?

Is there a modem that’s a better purchase for Century Link fiber?

Is that really a law? If you’re driving on a multi-lane road and the car on the right is slow, you’re not allowed to drive past it on the right?

I think it makes perfect sense to allow testing with few rules until EXPERIENCE determines what rules we need. We already have too many laws that make no sense because they were made without real world input.

At a pokey 17 mph, the motorcycle driver should have had plenty of time to avoid getting bumped — if he was paying any attention at all.

Cool. But it takes several hours to print a Settlers of Catan tile? Yikes!

Why would she have hard feelings. It was 2 weeks suspension with pay. In other words, she was rewarded with a vacation for her behavior.

The other issue is that companies could start arbitrarily LIMITING car functionality. Let’s say a Tesla owner is an active voice opposing a political opinion or business decision the company or its owner has taken.

How nice for you to be able to Slam Trump if he DOESN’T reach out to the black community and also accuse him of it being a dog and pony show if he does.

Is passenger loading/unloading really the problem? How many flights have you been on where you’re loaded and everyone is seated and you’re still waiting for the fueling and flight checks and whatnot?

My opinion is that Rousey’s shift in demeanor was pushed upon her by the promoters. I’m not saying the fight was fixed, but this smacks of a false rivalry to set up a huge payday at the rematch.
