@kainzero: Damn it, they know my weakness, now I need to get a Move as well :/

I like turning on the Wifi hotspot on my phone when I'm in public places just to see who hops on. Mostly it's people's iPod touches that are set to auto-detect networks :/

How hard are these (Myst/Riven) to play on a touchscreen? I remember having to do a lot of cursor swiping back in the day to find out what parts of the screen were actually clickable (where the mouse turns from an arrow to a finger...). I'm not sure I could complete the games without that help!

I still prefer my Sony Ericsson LiveView, it's not quite as ginormous, and it actually tells me something useful aside from the time when it's on my wrist.

@kejoxen: Maybe you need to change banks, I only get hit with a 1.5% currency exchange fee, which is quite reasonable.

@Fekdep: $85/mo for 100/100 Mbit max speed. half that for 100/10 Mbit, half that again for 10/10 Mbit

My speeds are actually better, but I'm limited by my crappy WiFi signal.

As a lifeless otaku who will never have a girlfriend or any social life whatsoever, idols are a nice way of being entertained without being reminded every 10 minutes of just how much sex everyone else is having.

@astrocramp: Read the article. "caching apps and documents you need for offline use"

@twothefutureandbeyond: "4G" in Sweden (LTE, same technology as Verizon) is seeing 30-40 MBps in real-world use under normal load. It's advertised as "up to 80 MBps"

@Limbero: Yeah, one improvement with Telenor vs. Telia is that you can get Telenor 4G without a 12-month contract. I can't wait for Tre and Tele2 though, one of them ought to introduce Prepaid 4G.

Ah, partying like it's 2005!

Meanwhile, on the LTE network in Sweden that's been running for a year and has a bunch of users, the real-world under-load speeds are 40 Mbps. So, not really "Insanely Fast". More like just "Decently fast".

@mogua: Yeah. TeliaSonera launched in Sweden with 10 MHz and saw 40 MBit speeds, before they got the 20 MHz equipment running and jumped to 80 MBit. Now that the network is commercial though, people are back to seeing 40 MBit real-world speeds (since it's under load from users)

@dtptampa: I love how a bunch of American people are threatening to stop Wikileaks. Go ahead, they're prepared. There're still plenty of hosts, and they're switching between them fast.

@JDickson87: 5 GB is absolutely nothing, since this is marketed as a USB stick to connect to a PC. I'm at my grandma's place and I've been using the 3G internet included in my phone plan, and in a week I've downloaded 20+ GB. For a high-speed 4G network you'd really hope for no caps.

The One True open network name is "Free Pubic Wifi". Preferably as ad-hoc so that old Windows XP computers propagate it.

I've always been tempted to get something like this, but I can't get over the stigma.
