Here’s the problem: Green got hurt and never touched the field again. Didn’t start, barely got subbed in. All while their current squad just kept tumbling down the table. So instead of trying something different, they stick to their current plan and nearly get relegated out of the league. To me, Green had a right to

Jordan Morris has a freakin motor and he looks like he’s having fun doing it. Not a lot of skill, but more like brute force coming at you. Very American like.

Also, his ball handling was top notch in that World Cup game. He was doing finesse moves with confidence. No American can do that IMO.

I was very concerned about Green getting put into the game (because it screamed of LET ME CAP HIM SINCE WE’RE GOING TO LOSE ANYWAYS). But then the kid does up and overs IN A WORLD CUP GAME IN EXTRA TIME! You tell me another American who has the technique and naiveness to even try that. And then he makes that beautiful

How about these two?

Gedion did this recently:

Damn you know I think 20 yr old you and Billy would be two peas in a pod.

I’d be gunshy about another loan too if I had the loan experience he had at Hamburg.

That’s Lahm and Schweinsteiger, anyone else I’m missing that went on to be a megastar?

Of course he’s at risk of becoming the next Sandro Wagner (who actually is only a failure by Bayern’s standards, he’s been fairly good for Hertha), I’m only saying that the prospect of one more season in the Amateure is not an indicator of very much.

Yeah no 20-year-olds in Bayern’s Amateure squad ever go on to do anything worthwhile

Yeah, I’m having trouble seeing how it’s a bad thing if he plays 80-90 minutes a game against somewhat worse competition than get spotty playing time on a mediocre team. Not like Bundesliga U23 clubs are complete crap or anything.

I am recently divorced, so I am also giving my best efforts at making a strong showing with the U-23s

It’s not the end of the world. If he stays with Bayern’s reserve team, he’s still playing with talented players, they are just younger. Is his competition the best? No, but in training he'll still get plenty of quality work plus he'll be playing regularly. He can transfer either in the winter or next summer to a low

I’m really glad that my life’s work didn’t receive this kind of scrutiny at age 20. You know, since my life’s work at that time consisted primarily of cleaning Cheetoh dust off my GameCube controller during late night FIFA marathons after another night of not getting laid.

should have brought Donovan instead of Wondolowski imo

I feel compelled to share this bit of wisdom by David Foster Wallace everywhere I read anything about suicide in the hopes that it can help people - even one person - understand. (Kinja screwed up the formatting and won’t let me change it, but I feel like it’s kind of appropriate for the message.)

This is my problem with people as a whole. I’M OUTRAGED AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHY BECAUSE I DID NOT READ THE ARTICLE BUT HERE I SHARED THIS TO FACEBOOK SO YOU CAN YELL TOO!!

clickbait-y headline aside, there are some good points about the effects of how our culture defines success and happiness
