What do you mean!??? Joy is covering 1st base!
What do you mean!??? Joy is covering 1st base!
My Dad was on a men’s over forty all star team in the mid nineties and pitched an inning against the Silver Bullets. He was booed viciously by the crowd after allowing only one hit and no runs.
Thank you! This is such a good point—talented women especially are often pushed into softball since there are opportunities for scholarships that don’t exist in women’s baseball.
“Softball is its own sport.”
Joy? There’s no joying in baseball!
Agreed - baseball is so much better. No reason why women can’t play it.
Wake up call. Stop forcing girls and women into the softball ghetto and let them play baseball. Nothing wrong with softball, but baseball is a better game. Everyone who wants to play softball, male or female, should be able to play it, but no one should be tracked into it based on gender. It’s a leftover from when…
Anyone else remember the Silver Bullets?
You clearly are blind.
Though of course shoulder to head is also targeting.
I do not see how people can watch college football with a clean conscience. Why must every athlete be paid the same “wage” and only that wage, or less?
What fucked up textbook have you been using?!

It’s completely independent of intent; a Tennessee player had the same call go against him on Thursday night despite turning his head away to avoid the collision.
I watched the show Adam Ruins Everything this week and the topic was football and he postulated that the only way to help it survive is to make it touch or maybe flag.
Remember folks: 96% of pro players have CTE. Football is 100% not safe for your brain, at least as we play it right now.
I believe I may be able to shed some light on why the publications cited in this article cited the Holiday story the way they did. Both the Times-Picayune and the New Orleans Advocate are New Orleans-based publications — they serve the citizens of the city of New Orleans and the surrounding area. Jrue Holiday is a…
Turner will have to endure this humiliating protest and live with the shame forever, even if the actual sign-holding peters out in a few weeks.
I'm all for the protest but they should leave their guns at home.
So why did the Times-Picayune choose to headline its story like this?
“If that baseball was instead a man, he’d be charged with attempted murder.”
