Too bad you have to go to a Kia dealership to buy it, an experience that—nine times out of ten—will leave you feeling so frustrated and abused, you’ll run straight to the nearest Audi dealer for a considerably costlier A/S5 Sportback, or to the BMW dealer for a considerably uglier 430i/M440i Gran Coupe.

Yeah. I’ll still wear them in the back (maybe not the terminal unless it’s crazy crowded).

Get ready for another round of mass flight cancelations due to flight crews getting sick.

AutoWorld in Brussels was fantastic, but it also doesn’t have an identity crisis.

Fortunately motor vehicle laws in the US currently still require brakes and steering to have a mechanical connection to the wheels. Tesla (and some other EV companies) are lobbying to go full fly-by-wire, so the next time this happens could be more interesting.

I prefer this one.

Which, I guess, makes him the useful idiot.

I’m sure he has a lot to say about masks and COVID too. It’s funny how something as small as a sticker can tell you everything you need to know about a person.

Saving graces: the wheels are mostly black and it’s an EV. With regenerative braking, brake dust is less likely to be produced and will be less visible when it does accumulate.

The production models have pretty poor build quality, even 22 models.  it’s improving a bit on the gaps, but the cheap plastic and wiggly interior parts are still there.

Why on Earth would you even show this thing in that condition? That mirror is straight up broken. This is supposed to get people excited?

What a powerful illustration of why these silly hunks of metal, plastic, and glass mean so much to us.

I’m still kinda impartial to this.

Especially when certain dealerships put license plates on like this.”

This type of rule (stop signs as yields, red lights as stop signs) makes a lot of sense. In many cases, urban lights are timed for peak traffic or are sensor activated. That means most of the time, reds occur when there is little to no traffic. It’s entirely reasonable that at most of these intersections a bicycle or

I was a cyclist... until a cycling buddy died in a bike accident that freaked me out.  I completely get slowing, looking, and rolling through on not-very-busy stop signs.  Lights, if the light wouldn’t change for me and nobody was around, I’d go through after stopping for a bit.  But man, there are some egregiously

Did we all just forget that Hyundai also had a huge EV recall from their LG batteries bursting into flames as well? I guess cool retro styling is what it takes to be allowed to move on, not an ad campaign.

It just looks like a boring car to me. I agree that giving it a facelift would have been nice, if for no other reason than to get a little distance from their four-wheeled Molotov cocktails.

Pacifica plug-hybrid for the win. It can do everything for our family of three kids and a dog, but ford creeks, but that’s what our other “car” is for.

Everyone that knows cars - “Minivans are horrible, would never own one.”
