“... don’t miss common areas like eyelids, ...” - yeah, no thanks, that stuff stings like soap when it gets in your eyes! LH mastery of well-meaning but impractical/harmful “expert advice”.

Wear glasses and a hat. If your eyelids are burning, your eyes are also being exposed to harmful UV.

This is such a human response. Sometimes people forget that jobs have a “balancing” aspect, and that outside forces or necessities can demand a change in course, leaning away from niche interests to a broader scope. As someone who never comments on anything, I wanted to tip my hat to your response Mr. Murphy - well

Believe me, I remember those days too. And I love the stuff we used to cover, no question there. But that’s when Lifehacker had a fully-staffed team of tech writers and editors, coming from a wide range of backgrounds and disciplines, that could effectively crank out all kinds of material. The *vast* majority of the apps I use were installed via .exe rather than the Windows Store or other type of appstore

I don’t mean to be Debbie Downer, but the bad takes on what happened today are getting increasingly insane. The entire oil business did not go bankrupt.

Um excuse me but your facts are killing the vibe man

Dealing with all of the precautions -- which may or may not even do any good -- is completely exhausting.

well, technically they had a mac mini server (I’ve still got it at work) that indeed gave up the optical slot mini’s of that era for a second hard drive slot. Came standard with twin 500GB’s I think? Anyway, subbing out one or both for an SSD definitely makes them “usable”, but they are not screaming machines by any

Right, I wouldn’t rub my shirt on other people, but I wouldn’t necessarily treat it any differently if I’m already sick. We’re not recommending that people immediately wash their clothes when returning from a grocery trip. I’m wondering why the mask is any different.

I go with using a neighbor’s deck and that has worked well for me. YMMV.
