In CA, a $1.5M house is just firmly middle class. That isn’t a mansion, it’s a small tract home in LA.

You know, not to state the obvious, but no one here is being forced to pay that price. You can always choose to just ignore him. Someone, somewhere, may be willing to pay that price, and that’s between them and the seller.
