That’s impressive on the rental income. Did you have much trouble with renters damaging/misusing it?

“[The] Carmax rep showed me their options screen, and there’s no box there which they can select to give the car the extra value. So if you’re the type of person who changes cars every couple of years, do not get FSD as you will get no value for it.”

You’re double counting aren’t you? I don’t think anyone is proposing both replacing the gas tax with a miles tax AND charging an extra EV reg fee.

I’m not talking about broader societal impacts. I’m strictly talking about the fact that roads need to be maintained and drivers need to be taxed to fund it. The current fuel-based tax puts the entire infrastructure maintenance burden on gassers.

For the first time ever, car buyers in the U.S. are almost one third as likely to be rejected come application time at their dealer’s finance department as they are to be approved.

Very well said, I was thinking exactly the same. EV’s and efficient vehicles aren’t getting “screwed” by this and gas guzzlers aren’t necessarily getting some unfair benefit from it. More like it’s taking away the current free pass heavy EV’s are getting, and eliminates the subsidy that gassers are currently paying to

I love hydro gardens, but hate all their misleading marketing. They show all kinds of picture with unrealistic amounts of plants crammed into the garden overflowing with produce.

Occasionally needing an employee to skip a break or work through lunch is “abuse”?

An employment term/benefit that is not particularly common amongst employers is not “bare minimum” in the context of negotiating employment terms.

It’s amazing it took Toyota this long to realize they should spend more than 15 minutes trying to make the prius look cool. I’ve always thought the Prius is objectively a fantastic car for the money on paper but never even remotely considered actually buying one due to it looking like a frumpy appliance of a car.

To be clear, I have zero problem with them asking for whatever they want to try to get.

I mean, it’s a 70's muscle car. If someone is willing to pay even half of what this guy is asking, the additional cost of sprucing it up and replacing all the seals etc is like a rounding error in the equation.

Also, on the punitive side, SAG-AFTRA contents that the AMPTP rejected proposals for increasing penalties if meal breaks didn’t happen, and if rest periods were not given to performers. Which feels like the bare minimum here

I mean how much more pushing do you want? At this point almost every model on the market other than sports cars and HD trucks has a hybrid trim option of some sort and I can’t think of a single manufacturer that doesn’t have at least one hybrid option (other than tesla of course)

I mean I’m not giving Uber and the bank a total pass, but I’m not going so far as giving them the full blame for “ruining the trip”.

The deposit terms and conditions make it very clear the actual selling price is TBD and any advertised prices are strictly estimates and subject to change.

An idiot could have read the laws and figured out it was a multi-billion dollar giveaway that helped no one except the insurance companies while using taxpayer dollars to do it

Your user name checks out...

Except ford sells about 750k F150's per year and about 30K Mach-E per year. So the F150 stock is about 30 days while the Mach E inventory is about 120 days.

Cool, now how about a machine that actually knows how to roll a burrito with all the ingredients on the inside since apparently the Chipotle humans find that impossible?
