Hi! Overweight dude here. I’m a big guy... 6’2”, 225 lbs...

Maybe the real question here is how much is Gawker paying you that you, unlike other writers, aren’t dead broke and therefore can afford to eat out like you’re an investment banking intern.

I highly recommend knowing how to budget for food, shot for groceries, and cook meals for yourself, no matter what. I love takeout, too, but cooking at home is almost always healthier, cheaper, and less wasteful, and it’s a basic life skill (like being able to change a tire or do your own laundry) that’s just useful

Glad to see my childhood church making it all the way to Jezebel. Feeling very proud right now.

Fair point. I should really use my tourist dollar to go to one of the middle eastern countries where I, as a gay person, don’t have to worry about the persecution of minorities.

Note how all the comments are talking about how terribly homophobic Palestine is. Forget all the shelling, bombing and apartheid Israel is responsible for, lets just tear more shreds into Palestinian people.

Oy. People can’t win, can they? So here you have a “rich and entitled” kid who DOES get abused by the police and people are mad she’s using her means to sue them. She specifically said, “if you have the privilege and the means to pursue legal action, you should.” How is this a bad thing? Many people cannot sue, they

So you’re saying that because she’s rich, it’s not a big deal that the cops acted out of line and mistreated her? Cause she can just go back to her nice apartment and go to brunch?

I do see what you mean, but ... her daughter informed her friends of their Constituional rights at a time when they needed such information. I have a hard time hating on her for that, even if she only knew because ‘her mommy is a civil rights attorney.’

I mean, how do you even compare the two? I don’t understand. Is it that you’re compelled to make everything about you? Can we go do something about the actual bad people now, please.

Top conservative sites: Brietbart, A Voice For Men, and Jezebel. Yup indeed.

I’m not being aggressive by calling you out on your hypocrisy. It’s easy for you to argue that this is just a business transaction because you apparently have no concept of associating values with one’s job. But when it comes down to it, of course you have values that you associate with your work.

The nuance in Patrick Stewart’s statement is the very definition of liberalism.

If you honestly can’t see the difference that you just can’t trade away values - or that this trade-off even exists - there’s no point in you even participating in the discussion. There is nothing bigoted in what Stewart said, or what

Ok, look. It might consensual for the woman here. But it is NON consensual for the general public.

As a kinky person who’s been on precisely that end of a collar and leash, fuck off. That’s rude. Don’t do that in public. It may be consensual on her part, but this is not any different structurally than some dude jerking off on the subway—they’re getting off on the presence of innocent bystanders who have NOT

Because some white person has said something racist in the past that justify her saying something racist, real mature argument there.

I’m fine with her calling out slavery for what it was, that doesn’t bother me.

That doesn’t make it right.

Some of her tweets seem pretty fair, and calling for someone’s resignation is clearly a bridge too far. But if I were a white male, I would absolutely feel uncomfortable if my professor sent out a tweet saying “why is white america so reluctant to identify white college males as a problem population.”

I’m not attracted to Black people either, and I’m Black. I also have known quite a few other people who either expressed or demonstrated a marked preference for one (or two) ethnicity over others.
