I dunno. What did she say that was so bad? Kate dresses uneventfully? That’s true enough, and hardly a dis. I dress pretty uneventfully, and wouldn’t be overly bothered by Margaret Atwood bringing that up at a fashion and fiction panel. (You know, should the topic come up organically.)
THANK YOU. Kate Middleton’s style bores me to tears, always has. I think a lot of the admiration she gets is actually about her being extremely thin, with long flowing locks. Just like a princess!!!!
She’s not wrong. I’d love to see Kate defy the traditional royal style rules, but it probably won’t happen. Not that her style is bad; she’s had some knockout moments. But daily, I wish she’d kill it more. DREAMS.
You knew really interesting people in high school. I don’t know anyone who DID try to make an explosive.
1. You do not know that. People respond bizarrely to trauma. People often report not crying for days when an actual loved one dies.
Im really bad at meeting people the way most of my peers seem to and it took me ages to find a way to relate to women that worked for me while still being honest and open about myself. So take this advice for what its worth from an internetter who you dont know from adam: (excuse the format, my phone doesnt like…
As long as they can convince Matthew Goode to come back full-time for the last season.
Friends is boring and unfunny. YEAH.
The bravery of the women carrying that casket gives me chills— and sadness that I am certainly a lesser woman than they.
I know you're trying to be quip and make jokes and all. But even if Russia is just blowing smoke, the fact that they expressed it, in no uncertain terms, of their intentions to deploy nuclear missiles at Denmark is just unspeakable. I can't find a joke in this.
Not for nothing, but the book is entirely about deconstructing the manic pixie dream girl trope, and the main character basically learns that projecting his Heroic Male Needs onto an actual human woman with intellectual dimension is pretty dumb. Someone complained to John Green on Tumblr that the trailer seems to have…
I don't think *having* parents is the point here, it's not being exploited by them. That's fucking priceless.
I see this as I'm working through several chronic illnesses. " Isn't it just cramps? It's probably not that bad, Maybe you're just too sensitive to this? You need to focus on other things." Nope. My body is fighting me every step of the way, actually attacking itself.
This is an interesting issue that came up in my personal life because I have Asperger's Syndrome. That is a neurological disorder, sort of autism at the high-end of the functioning scale. It affects mostly males, last I read was something like ninety to ninety-five percent of those with AS are male. For those…
About the only time I see this phenomenon being discussed in popular culture-albeit obliquely— is in horror movies, one of the biggest arbiters of our fears in modern times.
Wow. These comments are very hurtful to me and my fellow models.
I get why people might think this is body shaming. But to be honest, my opinion is shaped from experience. I suffered from anorexia in my teens. At one point I weighed 58 pounds, and I probably would have been dead within a week if I hadn't been sectioned.
Awwww, well pretty much all naturally fat people can't model so it's not like discrimination based on body type is a foreign concept to the industry.
