I just read through the whole complaint. Damn, it’s even worse than this article makes it out to be. What’s really telling is that the top brass were repeatedly informed about the problems - the DFEH tried to resolve this without litigation and Activision had multiple companies do audits over workplace discrimination

Kaguya-sama worked really well as an anime. I wasn’t 100% sold when it was announced but it outdid my expectations and then some. Plus the dub is legendary.

No, but, like, really. Pandemic aside, this question needs answers.

Then we end up with algorithmically generated content that requires algorithmically generated R-18 patches. Hmm...

Yep, machine learning is notorious for this sort of inconsistent nonsense.

Aside from the demo, there’s also a playable prototype of the game available to download for free here:

Show me a movie/TV critic and I’ll show you a self-important asshole.

Response to my original post about being Kinja’d. Shamelessly stars my own post.

Comment briefly summarizing thoughts about the post. Immediate segue into how I met someone only tangentially connected to the topic at hand. Picture included that shows me, in a convention space wearing a lanyard, with my arm around an unknown indie developer.

Meier explains that there is no error in the original Civilization that sends Gandhi off the deep end. It was mostly a matter of perception.

I really feel the difference between how FGC and esports cultures treat aging. Both sides love young talent, but esports organizations seem to almost fetishize it. Veterans in FGC circles tend to get a lot more respect, whereas in esports they’d be overlooked. Maybe it has to do with how most fighting games are

It’s exactly this. My mom actually bought a (non-obtrusive) gaming chair to replace her cheap office chair she was using to work from home with. Usually in the $100-$300 range, gaming chairs will easily outperform the alternatives. If you really want to splurge, of course, Herman Miller has your back.

8. It is very much .hack in setting and certain themes, but there are a few key differences. I’d also say it’s not as.... campy? As .hack can be sometimes.

If you stick to just the main plot and avoid side quests, you can probably finish in around 30+ hours. With side quests you can definitely get up to 80 hours on a single playthrough.

Tom Scott did a great video about this recently.

Lots of people like watching Marie Kondo even though they don’t like cleaning. Some people just like watching experts do their thing.
