If Valhalla is anything like Odyssey, the female protagonist would be the more interesting of the two. Kassandra was great while Alexios was incredibly boring to listen to.

I agree, 100% of the time the female protagonist has better voice-acting than the male meathead guy.

They should let you play as a Black Viking. That would melt people’s brains.

I tried playing Alexios after I played Kassandra, and, within the first few minutes, I remembered why I picked Kassandra. He just seemed so wrong as a main character, with every line sounding like the biggest stereotype. Kassandra seemed to fit way better into the world.

“I’m not racist or sexist, I just want historical accuracy!” It’s sad, really.

Given the dedication to accuracy the series has had in general, I’ll be very sad if they don’t make vikings a well-groomed, bathed society.

It’s “amazing” how all the concerns for historical accuracy always arise when a video game allows us to play as either a minority or a female.

I find it frustrating that there needs to be justification to begin with. If you're looking for steadfast verisimilitude, go play Train Simulator.
