Perhaps the most ridiculous part isn’t the prices, but that after all this money and all this time, they still haven’t lived up to their original promises. Something that was supposed to happen in 2015.

I swear, it’s the ghastly young people who work at Kotaku that do this to me. I’m 46, so was turning 19 in 1996. So I always think of these games as part of everyone’s childhoods, until the Gen Alphas that work here all remind me they weren’t born then.

Dilly dally, shilly shally

You must be new here. Welcome!

Absolutely no need for this to be a slideshow.

It is so weird that when people actually want multiplayer, studios can’t deliver but when no one actually wants it they’re suddenly ready to tack it on.

Good. One less live service money pit to watch die a slow death. I’m glad that they could acknowledge that this was going to hurt their bread and butter single player games and made the right call.

This is why anything less than full-self-driving is worse than the driver not being in control the whole time. I’m not a fan of the robotaxis either, but at least they get the important point: You can’t return control to an inattentive driver, so get the driver out of the seat entirely

Its the drivers responsibility to keep their hands on the wheel and be alert at all times even during self-driving. If you don’t keep your hands on the wheel self-driving turns off. When it returns control to the driver, it makes a loud chime sound. Self-driving is an assistive feature, its not meant to replace the

That’s still, legally speaking, a recall.

Holy crap someone else who actually remembers the days where people were mad that Valve were the arbiters of what got released on PC.

there used to be something like that...but people complained about Valve “Gatekeeping”...so they changed it to $100 and you can put up your game.

It was often the most wishlisted game on Steam for much of 2023. A lot of people thought a no-name development team could build a AAA open world MMO.  It didn’t help that the dev team CLEARLY LIED about what features would be in the game.

Guess you could say the folks dense enough to buy this thing were only born... The day before.

E3 has been irrelevant for years. I’d argue it died when they opened it to the general public. At that point, it became just another convention in a long list of conventions.

I liked how it was in the first gen (yes, roast me) - the starters were the featured Pokemon and not the legendaries, so Mewtwo, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres got to feel like they naturally existed in the world rather than the world existing around them. It felt like a neat treat and a surprise when you stumbled

I expect them to give him some kind of tooth pick like they did inm Kingdom Hearts.

counterpoint. No.
Smoking isnt cool anymore, and theres no reason to leave it in. The only people i personally associate with it are middle aged folk who waste thousands of dollars a year on it and stuggle to quit, but cant, passing on basically nothing to their kids cuz they throw it away on tobacco. so coooooool.

How would you get to the moon lol?

That’s their other game
