While I enjoyed the D4 cinematic and the prospect of true PVE in Overwatch, and the Shadowlands themselves are pretty darn gorgeous looking... this was by FAR the best announcement from the whole of BlizzCon as far as I’m concerned. I’m a nutso alt-o-holic, with a whole server strictly dedicated to having the fewest

Yep, just some basic quarter-circle motions, really. The most complicated it gets is 2146 (QC back->forward), or the dreaded Double 236 (QC Forward).

so what about the semantics is the problem exactly? Expansion sequel, whatever. It’s a huge burst of content and systemic changes that have cost them lots of man-hours and dev-time and thus needs to be sold as a standalone product.

Heh. Seems Sakurai was onto something with SumaBura all those years ago. He had the idea for it when he bodied some kid at KoF in the arcades, someone who didn’t even remotely stand a chance because the game was just too darned complicated to be good at “quick enough” in an infrequent-visit-to-an-arcade kind of

Regardless of some certain decisions, game-design related or completely PR centric on a corporate level... even in the face of countless degrees of drama and nonsense, it’s really easy to tell that the developers that ARE still left at Blizzard definitely still care very greatly for the games they’ve been given

Man, like Max said this morning, the biggest takeaway I got from watching Sakurai actually spend the full 45 minutes (give or take like 5 lol) talking about basically just Terry ... Sakurai loves Fighting Games, especially King of Fighters and these SNK games. I don’t remember where I read it, but I thought I heard

Yep. Same deal, fam. I find it’s summarized pretty exactly by this quote from the article:

Now playing

More successful, sure, especially from a designer’s perspective. Having so much representation from such a huge roster finding success at the upper tiers? Brilliant.

Hey. Read the article before you post.

lol. I know “AI” can kinda be a scawy term, but really, it literally can’t do anything it wasn’t exPLICITLY designed to do by the programmers. All this pile of scripts and code can do is be really good at playing a video game, that’s it.

Wow, am I so super glad I waited to get Ni-Oh. I literally almost impulse-bought it last week when I saw it was one of the PlayStation Hits for just $20. But now I think I’ll snag it for free! Sweet!

Big fat same! Like, across the board haha. First seasonal I’ve finished, got all the pulls, etc.! I just finished Mym’s adventure story last night. I was totally expecting some really goofy fan-servicey thing but instead I got a plate full of sincerity and feels I was not prepared for.

That kinda blows. :/ But... as bitter of a pill as it is... I can’t say I could blame ‘em. The game is fun, and they didn’t want to stop. I don’t know if I’d have been able to stop either.

I mean Resto druid is fine, but I want a shapeshifter!

Yeah, totally fair and understandable. Hope y'all found a good substitute in the meantime!

Alive, yes!

“ded gaem” memes aside, these guys and the rest of their team have been knocking it out of the park lately. They remain consistently involved on the Subreddit and other community locations and its clear that, regardless of the unfortunate circumstances regarding their downsizing and lack of funding from higher up,

Man Overwatch is so lucky to have so much old school Blizz dev support with the likes of Jeff Kaplan et al at the helm. They have a deep knowledge of and love for custom maps and modes, from the heyday in the 90's. This kinda crazy alt-mode/other-game-made-in-the-game stuff is the exact sort of thing that, you know,

Eeeerrrrm... Thanks, but no thanks.

I live in a pretty tight-nit college town, and Jackbox party games are pretty common. They can be pretty fun and funny at times, but man... I must have just turned into such a snob about the games I play, and/or I’ve just become really impatient with games, or something...
