Well if you were paying attention (or cared at all), you’d notice a metric shitton of new stuff in this trailer. How drive forms work, TWO new drive forms, returning abilities, Herc as a guest character (who doesn’t replace Donald or Goofy?), tons of new areas, I think a few new heartless, not to mention AGONIZING…
That’s exactly what I was thinking, and yet there’s not a single mention of, “How the guy behind the official Sonic Twitter/Facebook is a freaking genius; do it like he does it.”
Off the top of my head, I’m pretty sure Evasion on Agility and Crits on Luck are just straight up non-functional.
My close friend and I played Seiken Densetsu 3 like 16 years ago on a SNES emulator with a crappy early English fan translation. It’s been one of our all-time favorite games ever since. It was waaayyyy ahead of its time. I really want to see what a modern interpretation of its structure would look like, choosing your…
Fast Racing is just about the Speed and the skill/racing. This game focuses more on weapons. Personally I’m into it for the thrills, and the buttery 1080p 60fps of Fast RMX is just to die for. Seriously, would recommend.
See, that’s the problem right there. What you just said is a stereotype, that was once predicated upon some degree of reality during the few years immediately after Brawl came out. If there are still Melee fans as you describe, they are few and far between. I am a daily user of /r/SmashBros for years and years, and…
Good glob, you commenters... People decrying fans of Melee as toxic haters of everything else as though they are literal scum and garbage human beings that should be stomped out and annihilated just because people don’t like the same things we do.
Tons of people get new controllers all the time. People still make and acquire them. Plus, the Wii is a thing. It’s fully backwards compatible. CRTs are only used for big local events, but the game truly lives on day-to-day outside of these events... on NetPlay, through Dolphin Emulator. You can plug your GameCube…
Goodness. This kind of supply issue really makes me wonder if that rumour about the expensive and/or rare components was true... Either a chip, or a mineral that goes into the parts that go on a chip, or SOMEthing that was like being fought over or running out for Smartphone manufacturers. Idk, I only read the…
Amen to that. I can’t help but make a personal exception for gems like Ocarina of Time that I could just play forever, but for the most part I agree. I’m at least glad they had huge discounts if you owned a previous version. Like instead of $10, it was $1-2 for an upgrade (the Wii U added features like the Save…
1. The control scheme problem kiiiinda makes sense? But also, not every game has that kind of problem... plus that problem is way more apparent with the GameCube over the N64, as the GC has analog triggers. There are at least enough buttons and options on the Switch controllers to make up for the N64 layout, but the…
Yeah, I get what you mean. Mechanically and structurally they’re rather different, but from my opinion/POV, I was mostly referring to my taste in the aesthetics of those games.
Yeah I know, but that’s not necessarily a fair comparison, since there’s no SNES mini to speak of. I want to know how many that would sell in direct comparison. My bet says: a hell of a lot more.
I certainly won’t be the first one to underestimate the power of Nostalgia, but honestly, by this point... after the Wii, 3DS, AND Wii U’s Virtual Consoles, not to mention the NES Classic (which, admittedly, is relatively rare), just how many people want to play these NES games anymore??
I’m still... kinda on the fence about the Pro controller. ‘Cause like... I knew going in to it that there was definitely going to be a learning curve with the motion controls, right? That’s what every person that’s been to one of those preview events has been saying, so I had that as context in my head.
Oh man oh man. I love awesome mechanics like this. I really hope this game picks up more traction and gets a real speedrunning scene! That’d be sick to watch!
