For starters, I look just like this guy and I’m definitely not a “fuckboy”. I’m also confused about whether a “normie” is supposed to be a bad thing or not. Sorry I have a good paying 9-5 and don’t suffer from clinical depression like the average Kotaku user.

Kotaku only knows one bias. All of the stuff they write is hypocritical as hell. Like they dogpile on generic white characters but wouldn’t DARE say that about a POC, LGBT person, or a woman.

He’s white and not Japanese. You can’t make fun of Asian characters because that’s racist but feel free to dogpile the white guy because I don’t know.

Yeah for real. I look a lot like the character, through no fault of my own. You know, I was kinda born this way... It sure would be something if the anti-racism thought process applied to all races and not just against POC. Just because my ancestors were racist as hell doesn’t mean I am and it certainly doesn’t mean I

I love coming to Kotaku and have people talk shit about the character that looks a hell of a lot like myself (through no fault of my own. It’s just how I was born). Weird how they love to denigrate cis white males but they wouldn’t dare apply the exact same criticism to a character of color. Kinda racist if you ask

Basically ALL games that have climbing defy the laws of gravity. These are video games. We have to do a lot of pretending despite how realistic they look now. Any game where you get shot even once and still function at 100% capacity is complete fantasy.

Why would you buy something you are embarassed to own? That’s kinda on you honestly.

Playing Kingdom Hearts DDD did a number on my brain since the attack and jump buttons are backwards compared to the PS2/PSP games.

The X button was always called the Cross button. I remember playing some PS1 game with a narrated tutorial that called it the Cross button. Can’t recall what game it was tho...

Pretty soon everything will be offensive and nothing will be allowed. That’s how culture dies. Shoulda just disregarded the Korean complaints and kept it as is. Japan is a bigger market and they probably lost more fans by giving in to demands than if they did nothing.

Sony cheaps out on their drive, yet only MS games still suffer because of cheap devs. Crazy.

I’m gonna go with 505 being “that cheap”.

Yeah it was a fantastic game and a few months ago I was saying everyone needs to play it, but 505 is such a straight trash publisher, I tell people to just acquire it by alternative means. They don’t deserve the money anymore.

I call BS on the “cost” aspect. Games used to be multiple discs all the time and had manuals using higher quality cases. And that was when games were less mainstream. It’s not a cost-saving measure, it’s being lazy and flat-out cheap. Considering 505 couldn’t even bother to offer a next gen upgrade for existing season

Not true. A lot of games are fine on day one. Most Nintendo games are and most notably FFVII Remake didn’t get any patches until this week. It was complete and bug free out of the gate.

One trophy that was particularly offensive (I use that term lightly) was the one in Ratchet and Clank 2016 where you had to use the groovitron on every enemy type. It doesn’t track which ones you’ve done it to and while progress carries from a regular playthrough to a challenge playthrough, it DOES NOT carry over to a

It’s the same argument as why people buy a 2020 Mercedes over a 92 Geo Metro. They both get you from point A to point B but performance, functionality, and looks matter to some people.

No, but the difference between 4K textures/4K resolution/60+fps and the switch version in an insane jump in quality. Like comparing the original PS2 version of Shadow of the Colossus to the remake on PS4.

Nintendo doesn’t get praised for having the most underpowered system, they get praised for their unique ideas, great first party games, and relative inexpensive price point. The first 2 things I mentioned have absolutely nothing to do with console power and everything to do with the quality of the developers.

Not all heroes wear capes (or masks). Thank you. Kotaku’s slideshows are the worst.
