I think the point is that some things should be offensive, but are still very important to talk about.

I am a bartender (who gets surprise extra-strong drinks from other bartenders sometimes, once with deleterious consequences) and I approve of this message.

Yeah, while roofies happen, more often people just make "extra strong" drinks for women.

I always enjoyed customers who would buy a pack of gum to change the total if it was $6.66.

I was charmed by the first Shrek movie because it subverted some of those tropes. The princess was a real person who could save herself, they fell in love, and they stayed ogres.

She also said "hell!" To baby-me, it was like Audrey Hepburn spitting or something. BADASS!

I really can't wait for this "let's make everything a bit darker and more orange and blue" moviemaking phase to pass. Maybe if the economy ever gets really good again, we might get more optimistic, fun movies that don't try to add "gravitas" or whatever bullshit to everything possible.

My wife and I make twice that and I wouldn't buy a $450k house... maybe this is why everyone else seems to have nicer places than us!

When I heard the cops went to see Roger and believed he was okay. It reminded me of the time Milwaukee cops giving back one of Jeffery Dalmer's victims who escaped. The victim was foreign, didn't speak English and the cops thought it was a lover's spat. Dalmer killed him as soon as they got back to his place.

Hah! Our extended families have had to adjust to this wee guy and have suggested variously, "Gollum", "Yoda", "Dobby" and "Mogwai". I can see their point but I THINK HE'S BEAUTEOUS!

My heart belongs to Princess Monster Truck, the most metal of the internet cats.

About a year ago my son said something funny, followed by, "Don't put that on Facebook!" I hadn't realized until then that he even knew what I posted there, but ever since them I have invited him to curate his presence. He gets to veto anything I say about him (other than simply mentioning his existence). I save the

I just married someone as lazy as me. Actual picture of me and my husband.

otherwise known as, "i don't have the energy to clean up after 2 people by myself, so fuck it."

"Not all men" is a derailing technique. When a woman expresses harassment, or fear, or anything that comes from our culture of misogyny, and the response is, "well not all men are like that!" all it is doing is derailing from the conversation, and steering it back to men.

My favourite is when hundreds and thousands of women are sharing their stories, and some rando dude says, "That's just anecdotes."

He was sick. I think these men are sick. That doesn't make their misogyny disappear in a puff of sparkles and unicorn farts. They're dangerous misogynists and that does not just spring, fully formed, from the chasm. It comes from the culture around them.

Actually, studies of both abusive men and men charged with killing their female partners show that most do not have a diagnosable mental illness. We can agree they're not totally mentally healthy, but that doesn't mean that they actually have a disease.

what they want isn't "most women", though. They feel entitled to the size 4, white, rich, blonde sorority girl (80% of this or more is about looking good to other men!) and see the women they could actually get as "beneath them".... while the women they want, are so far out of their league that they're in orbit. If
