In the early 2000s Opel came up with a great idea for a successor to the so-so Omega - a quirky new-age hatchbacky semi-premium thing. It was called Signum. It was crap. It failed. It showed that Opel didn't know a thing about their target group.

I was done doing my practical test and screwed parallel parking up just a little bit. I was basically through. When we returned to the test field I turned off the motor and expected to receive my license. Then the instructor asked me to turn on the high beams... You think I could find the damn switch?

Yeah agree, it looks like a very cheap move. But it certainly adds to a stronger back of the car esp. in combination with all these new sharp edges. Just compare it to the outgoing model which looks like a generic mess... It's definitely an improvement.

So, the question is, does AM expect special treatment because they're AM?
