I'm not very much into US taxation so I cannot discuss this point with you. But I think it would be a very dismal car world where everyone talked about cars they can afford. I - for example - cannot afford a car at all atm... But I'm not planning to stop talking about cars I cannot afford (in short: all of them).

yes, might be. I'm actually not a big fan of blacked out tail lights. But BMW offers smoked tail lights as an option I think (http://www.treffbilder.de/images/7847682…). They are tasteful and not tacky. Also, Golf R (http://der-auto-blogger.de/wp-content/upl…).

I think the point is not that AM can't meet the standards but that they can't afford to change their current cars that will get replaced in 2016/17. They originally planned to release the respective successors on time to meet the standards. Then came delays and financial problems... And not selling any cars in the US…

there should be more specific tail light coverage on jalopnik. I tremendously enjoyed the article about how beetle tail lights have changed during production. There is so much talk about how the front lights are the face of a car... But I like car asses more than car faces I think...

I think it's interesting to see that almost no one criticises the looks of the Model X albeit almost sharing the rear roofline of the Panamera everybody seems to hate so much. Don't get me wrong, I actually like the look of both cars...
