You know, I don't think I have spoken them out loud except to myself. Mostly just write it...

In Japanese, "hen" means adult or weird or perverted....but this is not English or Japanese.

Yeah, I use "xim" and "xer" and "xe".

You're joking, right?

I definitely loved 2, but Season 3's tying everything up so well is probably what stands out to me the most about the series, even if it had issues with pacing and filler.

You know, I ought to stop torturing myself, wait for DVD releases, and just watch it all in one go. But I just can't...it's so flipping intriguing, I want more as soon as possible.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is one I like to go through, because it is a continuous story...I think I've seen it maybe 4 times now? 61 eps in three seasons.

Yeah, I have a sister who's gotten out of our crazy fundamentalist upbringing while remaining Christian.

Lucky you, you don't know as many religious nutters. As a former Christian, I know that it's pretty much Biblical to distrust atheists, and have some family who still believe the same.

@Chris Puckett:

The slang I've heard is "apatheist" (apathetic+atheist) for those that don't really care.

Ugh, some of those beliefs are unfortunately developed directly from Bible verses. Like "A fool says in his heart, 'there is no god'", or the verses that say atheism/homosexuality is actually a curse of delusion from God on people who refuse to follow his ways (which is New Testament crap).

I don't get this sentence:

There was a decent run of Bee-Train's good ones, with Noir, Madlax, and El Cadazor de Bruja, wasn't there?

Okay, I'm probably stereotyping the FF11 and FF14 games a bit too much. But from what I've seen and heard, battles and leveling can be really, really tedious, and you can't solo anything (in FF11). Which makes Xenoblade Chronicles a big step up in accessibility.

Being omnipotent, omnibenevolent, omniscient, and sovereign in character (according to the Bible), God is responsible for allowing evil (see: story of Job: he allows Satan to kill Job's family for no reason but his own glory, get's angry that Job is confused so scolds him, then replaces Job's family as if that makes

I'm so confused that the combat is a weak point for you. Positioning, tanking, active combat in general...that's not that normal for a JRPG. I think it did a better job of faux-MMO gameplay than FF12 (and far better than FF11 and FF14 from what I've heard), and it's funner to do DPS rotations in this game than WoW was

The rationalizations I've heard are that God kills countries who allow homosexuality (citing Sodom like that nutjob in the article) so the gays will literally destroy America if Christians don't intervene, or that they're stopping homosexuality "for the gay people's own good."

I don't think it makes sense to put demons as a possibility just because of stories, unless you also think other things that cause madness in stories are also distinct possibilities for causing mental illness. E.g., fairies might've done it, or gnomes, or a sorcerer might have cursed some arcane phrase that the

Yup, not believing in magic makes me intolerant! I can feel your hate, it is turning you to the DARK SIDE OF THE FORCE!!
