A society which loathes artists but celebrates Elon Musks is deeply unhealthy.

Anyone who says writing is easy has probably never tried to write a well thought out, cohesive story that doesn’t have terrible dialogue and rely on cliches.

Yeah, that felt really off for me, like they wanted the shock and tragedy of Gene shooting his own son but didn’t really care about whether they made it plausible.

There seems to be a growing perception that every AAA game must be a forever-game with 60+ hours of busy-work over a highly replayable game.

Ad the thing is it doesn’t need to be this way. The last AAA game I played a ton of was AC: Valhalla and I didn’t finish it. With tools like unreal engine 5, game development should be getting cheaper, not more expensive.

This show has gone from a good show I enjoyed watching to a good show I am miserable watching. I won’t argue it’s bad - it’s clearly good, but it is a grinding, miserable experience to watch now.
