Skull & Bones feels like it should have been a spiritual successor to Black Flag. Why they decided to go with a live service naval combat multiplayer game instead of just making an open-world pirate action RPG will always baffle me.

But why, why can’t it not be Final Fantasy to someone that likes 16?
Whether fans like it or not, the game sold 3 million in one week. Not bad for the series’ first Mature mainline game that is currently exclusive to one console. Also, this is a lots of peoples’ first Final Fantasy, meaning an Action RPG Final Fantasy will be their idea of nostalgia in the future. Personally, it’s the…
Nobody should have to convince you. It says “Final Fantasy” on the box. It’s Final Fantasy. Period. That you dislike it is irrelevant to that fact.
Just make it a more powerful version of the switch. Same OS, same accounts, same everything. Developers get to keep using the same stuff they've leaned developing for the switch, but have more resources available to them. Users keep their accounts and previous purchases so all they have to do is sign in for the first…
The trailer seems really “topical”. Pandemic, crypto, meta jokes about streaming platforms. I don’t remember original Futurama being very topical, but the reboot did it more like with the iPhones.
Oh they absolutely will try something completely different, just look at their last 4 consoles and how much changed.
I don’t know if it is just me but the reds and browns in TOTK look really bad to me. The green and blues pop brilliantly but red just looks really flat.
There’s also the fact that compared to Marvel, most DC properties are joyless slogs.
It wasn’t exhausting because it was hard work. It was exhausting because Phil Lord is a crappy producer who doesn’t understand animation workflow.
100%, most of us that get into the console game own more than one of them anyway. There’s nothing stopping them for competing for the same audience as Sony, but there’s just very little differentiation in what they’ve been offering. For me at least, mostly because I already own a PC and a PS5 - maybe the real play for…
Star Ocean 2 R looks GREAT, hopefully they can port First Departure R to PC before it comes out (SO2R also coming to PS4/PS5/PC).
I am REALLY happy that SMB:Wonder looks to have its own aesthetic and artistic flourishes and isn’t just the on-model, boring New SMB style again. Mario with the cartoony running legs, and…
Xbox found a way to include multiple female devs in skyrim’s deep dive alone. Also 4 of its titles are headlined by women, and it the showcase was presented by a woman. The pre showcase was hosted by a woman as well.
Very curious where this series is going to go now, after that pretty awful Season 2 finale. I know there’s talk of it being an anthology and focusing on a completely different and unrelated story.
This wasn’t prestigious enough for those soulless, deadeyed corporate ratfucks in suits...?
Finally some good news in our imposed randomly extended vs randomly cancelled world. ((random_number * skewed_polling / comcast_spying_data) - production_costs ^ private_jet_fuel_costs)
Fine, I guess; is this something we’re really rooting for to happen?
I honestly prefer “Fight” within the context of the scene. I like that her final statement of that speech was a call to arms against the Empire, not flipping them the metaphorical bird.
Namor more like Nomor amirite?
