I picked Wilma Mankiller in the poll that was going around a while back for this exact reason. But hey, this is awesome.
This....this has to be a joke, right? Things this good don’t happen anymore.
Pro Tip: Don’t be the guy at the party snorting coke through a Harriet Tubman twenty.
I agree. I mean, replace the man who founded the Treasury? WTF was that bullshit?
Would have been more karmic irony if it was a Native American woman, but still, fantastic choice. And much better than replacing Hamilton.
OMG the comments on facebook are already out of hand. “I’M GONNA REJECT $20s FROM NOW ON, NO WAY NO HOW I AIN’T USIN’ THAT.”
Well, I mean in addition to Jackson being weird looking, I can't recall Hamilton ever committing a genocide in the name of manifest destiny. So there's that too.
In sum: Realistically, we’re going to end up with a contest between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump (I can’t believe I’m typing that, but sadly it’s true) for the Presidency.
They do, in the general election. You can vote for anyone there. But it doesn’t really make sense to let non-Dems who we can’t really count on to support the eventual nominee in the general, pick the nominee.
I absolutely agree.
But...primaries are party processes. I don’t understand why the default assumption should be that non-party members participate in party-specific processes. I get that you want to just participate where you feel like it, but surely you understand why primaries are not always open to independents?
Or with anyone who cares about the Supreme Court decisions of the next handful of generations...
Bernie supporters are passionate and engaged. Hillary supporters are passionate and engaged. As a longtime New York democrat, I never thought this was going to end differently here. We elected her to the Senate twice, the second time in a landslide. She was a fabulously effective legislator for NY, it would have taken…
I am just so happy and proud of New York voting for Hillary. I know many states have done it before, and many states will do it after, but I am just over the moon about this win. Because, it really does mean, that there is such a possibility that I will get to see a woman become president before I’m 30. I just wish my…
In 1949 a woman was spanked in public and it was declared to be love. As recently as 1963 (according to the dates here, possibly there are later examples) movies still considered spanking to be proper discipline for grown women. Tell me again how we don't need feminism? These dates don't make me think "ancient…
“Remember, you can’t depict a married couple sharing a single bed, but its the height of wholesomeness for a man to bare-hand paddle a woman’s ass.”
It’s a fantasy of willing submission that plays out repeatedly.
