@Phoshi: Heh, evidently. I remember getting excited when my first desktop passed 1,000 views. This is quite flattering. :)
@AlanR: Right. I was trying to say that it's fair to use a different standard than 720 in the case of streaming video. "High" is a relative term - all it implies is "higher than some designated average." And of course the average streamable YouTube video is a lot lower than that. :)
I think it's fair to use a different standard of "HD" in the case of streaming video. Not all of us are blessed with lightspeed bandwidth, so even reliably streaming a 320p video is a bit of a feat.
@muledoggie: The theme she's using is an XP visual style. So I'm guessing XP. :)
@qrius: The following Autohotkey script lets you toggle the Taskbar with the Pause button. A caveat, though: its space will still be reserved from maximized windows.
Speaking as a user, I'm much more likely to use a service that integrates my Google account, rather than adding yet another name/password combo to my collection. I was never happy with OpenID, so this makes me happy.
I'm surprised that there's still such a misunderstanding about "desktop customization" around here. When people talk about their "desktops," that really refers to the entire interface of their computers. For example, I use: StartKiller, to remove the start button; TaskbarShuffle, which lets me middle-click windows to…
@mherlihy: I'm with you on the taskbar/tray. I still use both and see little reason to give them up. Mind you, all of the desktops above appear to be using either the taskbar or a replacent (Rocketdock, etc.), so I wouldn't say they've given up functionality.
My thanks to those both featuring and using my humble work. :) Several of these actually inspired me in turn.
Not a surprising choice, but... *sobs* I still don't get docks. They're slow. They're fickle. They're obese, unless the icons are too tiny to be clickable. And when you've got more than one IM, browser, document, etc., they all look the same.
It's about time one of your desktops got a feature, 'virus. Good work (and I'll look forward to seeing the polished version).
@lucarelli: There's a whole list of apps and configs right at the top of the page, my friend. :)
@Phoshi: Amen.
For those who were having problems with missing clock files (BorderHour.png, etc.), I've updated the package with a fix, along with a more streamlined set of instructions.

@Urza: I'll choose to be flattered by your implicit suggestion that my work is, ah, par. ;)
@QuiterieMacroshaft: I'm not sure what you're asking for here. The top bar in my setup is a real live Windows XP taskbar, with the CleanGlass VS. The bottom bar was photoshopped to match it. I'm right there with you on the taskbar, I still can't wrap my head around docks.
@BookwormDragon: Strange. I usually clocked about 15% CPU with Samurize, and Rainmeter actually cut that by 3-4%.
