Considering the popularity of Pirates, I was half expecting this to be an announcement for a Black Hole/Space Mountain remake. Wasn’t there some buzz about that a while back?

We can have interdimensional tentacled monsters in Guardians but not in Watchmen. I think this settles every Marvel vs DC argument ever.

I read the story so I knew the major story beats but I still found it visually arresting, intellectually stimulating and emotionally powerful. It had everything I want in a real science fiction film. I was never bored and I’ll be watching it again in theaters.

Sigh.

Well, if “looks ugly” keeps people away from the box office, Suicide Squad is dead meat. Everything in that movie except for Harley Quinn looks like it was dragged through the mud, infected with something, and then left in the sun for a week before all the lights were turned out for the “grimdark” atmosphere.

The sixth movie is Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, in that its a movie where Indiana Jones goes to see the recently opened film Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Well, he is a DOCTOR, so changing faces isn’t out of the question ...

Don’t reboot it Bob, just do what the original plan was. Make him like the American James Bond. New actors. No explanation, it just is. Let the actors give it a couple of movies, then move on.
