Shares finances complicate everything. I think another financial aspect to be wary of is moving in too fast to save money. It should be because you are ready to move forward in a relationship, not to split bills. I've seen a few friends make this mistake and it turned into a bad roommate situation, but worse.

I am sensitive to this because my dog was returned many times for numerous reasons and it made him depressed and withdrawn. When you adopt an animal you adopt their problems. I don't mean to sound harsh but that is reality. Please don't give her back.

That's a great plan. Sorry if I sounded bossy, just wanted to give a bit of support :) Stray animals tend to find me and it is always hard to know what to do! There are a few cat shelters around me that are great, but I live in a big city so I'm sure not everyone has the resources we do.

Maybe since she is asking for help, you could work toward finding her a home! Or perhaps find a shelter or cat rescue that would take her. Poor baby.

Thinking about her wandering around blind, starving and freezing cold still makes me boil over. Like BNMS said to me above, it is just completely unnatural. If karma is real I don’t see good things in their futures.

Like I said above, it took my dog months to completely settle in. I think the older ones just assume all living situations are temporary. He had been returned numerous times for not being immediately “fun”. Thanks for adopting an older kitty!!!
