I think you nailed it. I adopted an older dog who had been returned to the rescue seven or eight times (after an already traumatic life). He didn't show any emotion for months. I think he assumed he wouldn't be staying. Now he is happy as a clam. Just takes time!!

chopped my hair, too. Helped me emotionally that the falling strands weren't as long as my arm. I would just say eff it and buzz it all off but it would kill my mother and I love her.

Tell me to bug off if I'm being too nosy, but I'd love if you recommended Ferratin supplements. I need to raise my iron levels pretty significantly, but am having a hard time finding a supplement that I tolerate/absorb well. My doc is somewhat certain this is causing hair shedding. Thanks in advance for any tips!

Ugh same. And I feel like it's almost worse when you start with thick long hair because it's like oh hey why is your hair so sad and short now? Everyone who comments is so sorry though because I force them to listen to my entire saga. Glad it seems like you are seeing improvement! Hoping to be in the same boat soon.

Glad I'm not the only one who cries. It sux.

Thanks for the advice! My doctor and I are assuming it was caused by a prescription and/or Yaz, which completely threw off my entire body and made me miserable for a year. We want to see how I react without any pills. But if that doesn't turn out to be the cause I will scoot to the store and buy this immediately!!

Thank you! Such great advice. And it is so easy to wallow and imagine that no one has ever dealt with this before me. It helps to know I’m not the only one. I tested as rather low iron, so I began supplements almost a month ago. Hoping to see good results like you did. Thanks again!!

I was taking Spironolactone and my lovely derm accidentally wrote the prescription so my dose was doubled by the pharmacy. Took six months to realize. He claims it isn't a result of the mistake, but messing with hormones can really mess up hair. I'm hoping now that I stopped the medication that it will eventually go

Thanks!

I don't want to pry, but I have been dealing with this lately. Not severe loss, but still awful!! Do you have any advice? My doctor basically said I have to wait three months (length of hair cycle) before she will consider that it isn't just a fluke. Would appreciate any insight!! Thanks in advance.
