Yeah, but MOST people don't know anything about Lego throughout the years or the details of things like this.

And to partially agree with someone's concern trolling, it's Fortune Teller and not Gypsy.

Also in that pic are Roller Derby Woman and Foresty Elvishy Archer lady with a shield.

No. It's not. It's been that way since 1989. Lego torsos look like a skinny guy with hips bigger than his shoulders.

You are a soul sister in this! Though maybe you have kids and that's your reason. Mine is my Husband being a huge Lego nerd.

And since they're not sold together in the same aisle (meaning NO ONE IN CHARGE thinks that someone would want to buy Lego Friends and Lego Star Wars together), there's no sign of anyone thinking they SHOULD be compatible.

ding ding ding!

Really good points. Only quabble is that the slightly feminized torsos have been around since at least 1989. The hour glass effect has actually been lessened through the years. I posted a pic of the lady pirate and you can see how there's a pretty big change form her to the scientist

I don't trust shit you say and you're on the internet. Furthermore, what's this:

The hour glass torsos started at least by 1989. The hour glass has been changed to be less pronounced as the years have gone by.

Or like the one quote from eurobricks on how if there was a female torso, there had to be a female character when they were making their own story.

And thanks!

My husband is a Lego nerd and I'm, I swear to God, am currently surrounded by over 100 minifigures the tops of our kitchen walls.

Neutral.

Perhaps. But you couldn't put a Lego Friends character in Lego City or Lego Star Wars. Lego friends lady isn't going to fit into the Millenium Falcon or probably fit through the door in the Holiday sets

And how many generic packs of Legos do you see being sold?

These wouldn't solely be for feminists. I'm sure there was some guy with an accent in the Lego boardroom saying, "THE FEMINISTS WILL COME! THEY'LL MAKE THIS A SUCCESS!!!!"

People buy toys in gendered ways. Stores display them that way. This move is awesome by Lego, especially with their popularity with the internet crowd and Lego Ideas (formerly Cuusoo) being a success.

Why? Because of marketing and sales studies.

No. She wasn't.
