Go to cuusoo! Husband and i put some thought into a modular park/national park set. Neither of us has much patience to put together a plan.

I'm proven to be accidentally clever before coffee. Everything after that is ham handed.

There were a lot of big names back then and rivalries. I'm speculating (so people can prove me wrong) that it was still on the surge of triple axels.

I know!

A modular museum would be a great idea! Have different historical and even art sections! I'm going to bring that up to my husband (the Lego nerd)

They have those in the minifigure sets. The combo would be nice but kinda superfluous considering that this set is setting out to create something that isn't available now. Plus, crafting a male scientist from excess parts would be pretty easy.

Ooh nice!

They're fucking giving away Chima sets. Husband got two in a lego shipment without even asking for them.

Husband (the lego nerd) mentioned that the newer Lego City sets have more female police officers and also have more female criminals.

The biggest thing people can do to support this and other female-oriented projects is to register and vote on Cuusoo. Anything that gets over 10,000 votes gets an automatic consideration and :) from Lego but buzz and additional votes is how they KNOW that there's a market. As we all know, THAT'S how it really works.

Yeah. Husband's gotta BrickLink her for sure.

I'm pretty sure that the female swimmer is the only one with a medal (outside of a Winter Olympics series that I think they have out now). These little details are what gets the rabid adult fans with tons of disposable income to buy these. That and the secondary BrickLink market.

Those are def awesome. Roman acting girl is awesome IRL too:

Omg, you'd love Husband's grab bag boxes where he makes up weird new characters including his trick o treaters. Or the weird scenes he sets up for the holiday village. Totally come over!

LOL, yeah. There's a joke and I don't have personal experience to say it's not true that Lego City is a dystopian future full of police, firemen, emergency vehicles, etc.

Lego Space!

I think it would cost a lot. The most recent era of Lego has been about reusing old molds/colors when possible and a general sense of being economical with pieces. Even the example of the dual reaction heads use that sense especially in the Anakin to Darth Vader mini-figure.

I wrote a whole thing while going through the tops of our kitchen ledges and my phone/Kinja ate it. :(

Anecdotal evidence from our kitchen ledges: mini figure diversity still sucks.
There ARE a number of figures who get a male-female counterpart. Space alien leader. Monkey trainer. Mermaid-man. Surfer. Roman like fighting person. Viking/opera singer with horns on head and sword.
