The governor is busy keeping masks off people’s faces because “Freeduhms!”

This. Want this ..

No Dice, it doesn’t even have a helipad.

How quaint. Now bow down to ‘The Cyclops’! You’ll find me in the pool..

In the end Nissan did it and it came up arguably better:

that’s generally the story. “It takes a death for safety to be considered.”

That blue text on top of the silver vehicle is practically unreadable.  Who thought that was a good choice?

Someone has compiled that for every combination of Tesla https://teslike.com/

Time to clip the wiiings

My mom, who passed away last month, always wanted a 1966 Jaguar E-type convertible, in British racing green. Long, sleek, and just the right shade of green.

I thought it would be a perpetual motion machine whereby the trailer wheels would generate electricity to recharge the car and solar panels on the roof would recharge the trailer batteries.

From how Dethleffs describes it, the trailer uses a computer and sensors to know how much power to give. In theory, this means you could hitch it up to literally anything and go.

The same mass it has anywhere else.

I think the mindset was just different back then. There was a large segment of the population that grew up with domestic cars and simply never considered any import cars. They just didn’t realize how awful domestic cars had become by the mid 70's.

There used to be a saying in business: “No-one ever got fired for buying IBM.” IBM wasn’t the best or the cheapest, but it was the standard. Once you decide to deviate from the standard, any problem that crops up is your fault, because you decided not to just buy IBM.

My commute (pre-pandemic) was 30 miles each way. A bit above average. The “normal” range of my 3-year-old Tesla Model 3 is 282 miles (313 on a ‘full’ range charge). I can make it home in the summer with 220 miles “in the tank”. In the winter, it’s more like 200.

If I’m taking a long road trip, say, to my daughters who

I got involved in racing as an adult, and I just cannot fathom any parent letting their child risk his life like this. I’m sorry, but the race track is no place for kids.

Digging into this one a bit more, he ran out of gas. The 176 mile flight should have taken a little less than 2 hours and consumed around 12 gallons of fuel. This aircraft can hold about 26 gallons of gas maximum, so it should have been more than doable. VFR minimums would have been 15 gallons in the tank. Students

My ground school instructor way back in high school (early 80's) was a former Marine fixed wing pilot who made his living crop-dusting. As part of emergency instructions he pointed out that we should always be aware of differences in the color of any open fields because in NW Oklahoma (wheat country) a dark field

Harrison Ford approves this message.
