The camera is no larger than a GoPro, ideally planted somewhere on the top of the car, just behind the windshield in the middle of the width of the roof, which is where a lot of new cars placing cameras anyway.
I’ve always wondered how that car did with the European pedestrian impact tests. Yikes!
Forget the leaf blowers. My office chair will have a nitrous system!
Thanks for the history lesson. I guess I’m not up on my racial slurs like some other people are. I just put the orange one’s tweet up there as an example of what type of person uses names like that. Still the wrong war though. We were talking about US vehicles in Japan.
That’s the same thing I thought of when someone else mentioned that the Jeep Wrangler might be a good seller over there. Nah, I don’t think so. It’s one thing for Americans to buy Japanese cars because yeah, while we had a fight, we won and made up with them (although to this day, my bro-in-law refuses to even…
Thanks for that. I left out the part where the kids are swarming all over the minivan checking the oil, coolant level, tire pressures (using a digital pressure gauge, of course) and all of the things that one should be doing during a fuel stop. I figure that anyone who insists on 5 min. fuel stops during long trips…
I get a kick out of all these people that say 20 or 30 min is too long to wait on a charge and they have to fill up in 5 min. If their time is so damned valuable, why are they driving cross country when airplanes are far faster?
I always have to laugh when I keep hearing about these “5 minute fillups” from the EV haters. Since most EV owners will leave the house every day with a ‘full tank’, the point is moot most of the time. The only time it would make a difference is when traveling long distance. I have to wonder about how these people do…
... and everybody, show your work!
Here’s something else for you to ponder at the same time... does the plane get lighter every time the bird takes flight in the cabin while the plane is airborne? It’s Saturday, take your time.
I know the Model X holds up pretty well against crashing airplanes. Yet another autopilot related crash according to the haters, but this time it may have been the airplane’s autopilot. Time to disable all aircraft autopilots!
Just FYI, Android Auto has been able to use Google Maps and Waze for about a year now.
The best one I’ve seen is in a 35mph zone in one of our suburban neighborhoods. It’s a permanent setup with the speed shown on a sign. If you’re going more than a couple of mph over, it has (had?) a thin LED strip on top of the sign that flashes red and blue mimicking a cop’s lightbar. Sure got my attention,…
I really wish Elon had put a few cables and linkages in that spacesuit so at some point while the world was watching, the spaceman would have turned his helmet towards the camera, then raise his arm in a wave motion, then return to arm down and looking straight ahead. Just do it once and watch Twitter and YouTube…
Here’s what “Maximum” Bob Lutz thinks of your Opel Kadett.
