Who said anything about being bullet resistant? I was talking about a physical altercation between the biker and the cop. My riding gear is Kevlar lined and padded, including my gloves, and I think it would give me the upper hand in a fight. 

Just be glad it wasn’t a nest of these buggers from the UK. They probably could have carried off that El Camino.

True about the 14mpg around town. A big part of the reason is that they had 2.73 gears in the rear end. Great for highway cruising (only around 1750 rpm @ 70mph), but bad for stop and go traffic.
