I’ve heard that it was developed for the Swiss Army and was built to their “cutting-edge” requirements and specifications.

It’s against LAPD policy. They assume everyone is carrying multiple AK-47s and wearing suicide vests, no matter what. They don’t want to be in front of them at any time. You also have the issue of crossfire between the cops in front and the ones in back, with the perp in the middle. Never mind that in many cases, like

That clip was just the tip of the iceburg. I watched it live last night and it was boring at times, very entertaining at othes. They pitted him about 5 times, he ran over about 10 spike strips, and had many more civilian vehicles trying to block him off. Here’s the whole thing (warning, it’s an hour-twenty min long)

Is it still considered a heckblende if it’s a clear/translucent lens-like panel but doesn’t reflect light, or illuminate? You said yourself that they don’t necessarily have to be red. This is a 2007 but on pre-2006 MGM’s they were red lenses and I think, reflective.

Not in Texas. Back in 1959 they even tried a hood mounted gun to shoot at the bad guys while on the move. I love the dash-mounted pistol grip!

I’ve noticed that British designers can style cars that may be bigger or smaller than they look unless something is there to provide scale.

I’ve always liked VWs...

That picture looks “squished”, like it was originally a 4x3 aspect ratio and stretched horizontally to fit a 6x9 screen. Here’s an enlargement in the proper 4x3 aspect ratio. Better?

Patrick, I just came off of a 16 year old, 445,000 mile long relationship with an ‘01 VW Golf. I thought I was being reasonable.

How about another used Aztek? This one looks like it has all the bells and whistle (including sunroof and AWD), has only 75K miles on it, a clearn Carfax, and costs only $4,500. The only thing missing is the weird color, but that’s why Maaco exists if it means that much to you.

That article was written back in Nov ‘17 when production was first starting up also. Don’t you think there may have been some improvements since then?

Those articles were posted back in 2016 and mid 2017, so I was looking for any indication that construction had started. I think it actually has. These aerial pictures show what looks like a runway under construction in the area, but I don’t know when those views were actually taken.

If that’s true, then I stand corrected on the dirt part, but still, 100 feet wide is not very wide for a runway.

According to the article linked, it’s going to be a DIRT runway, not concrete. Also, 100 ft is not very wide for a runway, so it won’t be able to handle large planes. One of the reasons behind the length is that he may be planning on making it into a residential airpark development, and he wants residents to have

My son and I have a symbiotic relationship. I call him when I have a question about computers, he calls me when he has a question about cars.

Teslas already ask if you want to install the update now, or wait, and also gives you an estimated time it will take. I believe it even gives you the option to install it at whatever time you choose. Most owners choose to have it install when they are asleep so just in case something messes up, at least you will be

Sure, but I never called the Model X an SUV. To me, it’s a crossover.

One of these is a van, the other a Model X. You really can’t tell the difference?
