I’ll tell you one area where the Solara really shines...as a first car. I recommended one to my son when he called for my advice on what to get for his first car. He was about 19 at the time. I was thinking about Camrys because they are stupid bulletproof to put up with a new driver/owner’s mistakes. They are bigger

Doesn’t look that long to me, at least not compared to this E-Type...

That big tank could very well be an oil tank. Being 1900, they may have thought the best way to cool the engine was to cool the oil instead of using water. Maybe that’s why the radiator is so big.

Looks it could be an oil tank. That early in the history of the automobile, they may have thought it was best to cool the engine by cooling the oil.

Yeah, those dipstick tubes are a common problems on those cars. My trip was from DFW to Chicago for my late father’s service, so I couldn’t put it off. To tell the truth, I didn’t try too hard to get it fixed because it had around 442,000 miles on it at the time. I was actually relieved that I would be driving a new

The worst small damage I had was when I was leaving the house for a long trip across the country in my ‘01 Golf TDI. I was making a final oil level check before starting the car and leaving when the sleeve that holds the oil dipstick broke off at the engine block and came out with the dipstick. It’s a $10 part and

Well, a quick search tells me that there are 102 fatal auto accidents each and every day in the US (including Teslas). Which one were you referring to?

This is from where I grew up too, but this was three years after I got my license. Around this time, our local Ford dealer in Aurora had a really nice all stock ‘64 Jaguar E-Type (XKE). Red roadster, black interior. Wire knockoff wheels. Had just been gone over with engine work, new interior and not sure about the

These were typical car prices shortly after I got my license. If I only knew then what I know now...

You mean just like all the other manufacturers who do prototypes and concepts? If they don’t, it’s gonna make the auto shows pretty boring.

It’s just a functioning prototype. I’m sure the production version will have something a little more comfortable and legal.

Yeah, and with an HUD or display in the speedo, you can know instantaneously. Your way, we’re messing with a phone every few miles. That’s illegal in most states, counties and cities too you know. I guess I’ll have to check my phone to see if it’s all right to check my phone now too.

Pifft....Seeing as how many different towns, townships and counties all have their own “unless otherwise posted” limits and regulations, I’d be planning every trip for 6 months before driving a single mile. I supposed you do that before every trip too, right? What are you trying to defend anyway? Are you that much

So that’s why I need to run hot water over it and tap it with a knife handle before I can open it, eh? Thanks!

LOL! I will. No worries there. Here’s a picture of the car I sold (which I bought new in 2001) along with the odometer of the MGM when I bought it last July. I’m enjoying the low miles right now.

Bullshit! Not everyone driving in Michigan is from the area or even the state, and may not know what the de facto speed limit is for that particular area. Here’s what the speed limit is on normal 2-lane roads with cross streets, hills, driveways, etc. where I live. If you happened to miss that sign on this road, how

I’m not sure what year CV you have, but my ‘07 MGM has a tach in it, which particularly in that car, is totally unnecessary especially considering it’s intended customer base. It is cool, however, to see that I’m only turning over 1700 RPM at 70mph though.

It’s because the cars are so good and so technically advanced, it scares people who are afraid of change. Those people will try to pick on anything at all to diss the cars. When a panel gap is the worst thing they can find, it’s a positive for the whole car IMHO.

Damn you Rolls Royce! Do you know how hard it is to find the 24oz (1.5 lb) jar of Grey Poupon for your oversized SUV?

I guess you’re right.... because everything you see on the internet is absolutely true, right?
