If you’re talking about the Tesla Superchargers, and you live in the Boston area, you shouldn’t have to use one at all. That’s not what they’re used for. You charge every night at home while you sleep, and that gives you at least 250-300 miles per day. The only time you would use them is if you’re going somewhere else

Sorry, I forgot one other set of chargers. After looking at the Chevy website, it seems the Bolt can’t use the CHAdeMO chargers like the Leaf can, at least not without and adapter. It uses the CCS/SAE plug and fast charger instead. Here’s their map of available chargers.

It’s a huge difference, especially since Tesla’s superchargers are spread out over the country, especially between metro areas. If you look to see where the DC fast chargers for the other EVs are, they are mostly in metro areas, not between them. Cars like the Leaf and the eGolf don’t have a chance of making it

If only those two could charge halfway quickly outside of a metro area like Teslas can.

And how many do you pass between Dallas and El Paso? Tesla has several superchargers along that route. Sure, you can find an outlet for the Bolt, but you will be there for 4 to 6 hours instead of 30 min with the Tesla. And yes, I’ve checked. Lots of “fast chargers” in metro areas, virtually non between cities.

No, not a ‘57. It’s a ‘55 or ‘56 Plymouth. Google them.

I was hoping that you were. I guess I hang around with too many clueless people to just assume one way or the other. Nobody in my real-life world has even heard of that movie or the past works which inspired it. I’ve tried to enlighten them, but there seems to be too many strings attached for them to be interested.

LOL! Yeah, I know. It’s a mind-fuck for sure. I can’t look at it for more than a couple of seconds before I have to look away.

I’m not sure if you’re kidding or not.

And thank you. I did that one myself back at the time.

You mean this?

I don’t care for that look, but my girlfriend loves it!

I think that hood ornaments were meant more for the owner/driver to see as they drove down the road than for observers on the street to look at.

You would have to be a real queen to have a roof ornament.

Sounds good, thanks for the tip. Another show I love to listen to is the science fiction series “X-Minus-1". I have over 100 of the shows on my phone for quick (and data-less) access.

I used to have a job where I covered 400 miles a day in my Golf TDI, most of it in rural Oklahoma and Texas. Nothing to listen to up there but Gospel and country. I’m also one of those 5% that doesn’t particularly like music by itself.

Jason... It looks like some of the bright colored cars are “hiding” the darker ones. Is there any you can re-do that, but batch convert all the individual shots to greyscale first? It would eliminate any color brightness advantages of one car/suv to another. Maybe combine all of the different colors into one “average

Jeep made a long wheelbase CJ version. I see one that drives by my house once in a while. That said, the one sent to David looks a bit homemade.

Now playing

This guy test all kinds of things in small lawn mower engines. This is the one he did to see if an engine could run on paint thinner.

Just FYI, that’s a ‘64-’66 Imperial limo, not a ‘60. It was also designed by the same man, Elwood Engel, as the ‘61 Lincoln Continental. And what is a “Logan Limo”?
