I think you over estimate the intelligence of American audiences.

Dottie Underwood series FTW! She’s the best live action Black Widow by a country mile:)

Except that the DC model was pushed in their Cartoons and it worked JUST FINE. You had a Batman cartoon, you had a Superman Cartoon — and aside from 1 episode with the Flash (where you learn nothing other than “he’s the flash and can run really fast”), you didn’t meet the rest of the Justice League UNTIL Justice

No idea. I tend to separate the person from the characters when it comes to actors. I don’t give a shit about personalities, politics, or real life drama, as long as the man or woman can act. Honestly, unless I’ve met someone in person (the way I have with one or two celebrities) it’s hard to view them as real people,

Lazy world building? What’s lazy about imagining an interstellar military force who awards rank based on the whims of a senior ranking officer so you wind up with a punk who hasn’t even officially been commissioned winding up at a captain’s rank just because his commanding officer thinks he’s special? Don’t all

This is great news because thankfully no one who ever saw something at a convention or special event ever viewed it with rose colored glasses put on them by the sheer excitement of the surrounding hullabaloo and then shared their hyperbolic opinion to social media.

His son was the only one that could ever reach me.

If they want to know that - TRULY know that - then they should go ask the NSA. Not Apple.

Y’all say this, and sure you’re right. But you have to realize the irony when the Americans say this to us. You blokes dropped the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, people have been living there since “The Day After”. The answer to everything, Miatas that we all love are made by Mazda, located in, you guessed it

Fantastic casting. Even without any dialogue, just her emoting, I got more character coming out of her than so many others have tried in movies. And not just cape-and-logo movies. Kudos to the whole team as well for making the yellow work. It was so fascinating in that it didn’t look out of place; a yellow outfit, and

Unfair. He isn’t the world’s greatest stylist, but he consistently delivers good readable books. And I can’t think of anyone else who took the blue-collar approach to near-future SF that he was taking back in the 80s - he deserves credit for making that step, and making it realistic.

I feel like I have to preface what I’m about to say with this: the (many) rapes in GoT are terrible occurrences that happen too frequently. With that being said: why is nobody up in arms about a child being burned at the stake the very next episode? Or Joffrey torturing and the murdering prostitutes with his crossbow?

I dunno, I felt that this scene was very much in-character for all the characters involved, and I don’t think it was particularly egregious. There are other instances of violence against female characters that I thought were a good deal worse.

I also don’t get why they didn’t turn the boat around immediately after her poison struck. Trystane should have been just as furious.

not a villain

Bing Bong taps into feelings that not even the Germans have words for.

I love the idea of this list, but WALL-E/Eve, Xena/Gabrielle, and Root/Shaw shouldn’t be on here, because they’re romances, and I think those deserve their own list.
