Now you got me feeling bad.
Now you got me feeling bad.
Hmm, never thought of that, it makes sense. Of course then there are all those other places that accept it without a signature...
I don’t even need to do a statement comparison. I get an email with the amount and business name every time a charge is made on my cards.
Well, it would depend on the place, wouldn’t it? I’ve dealt with a few mom and pop places that were cash only, no big deal. Usually they are at farmers markets or flea markets.
I’m from Florida so you can also add the Bugs Bunny one too.
My local post office won’t accept a credit card with “ask for id” written in the signature block. They even have an official looking sign posted on the wall. I never did understand their logic.
True, it sounds old fashioned, but in my mind the smaller the footprint on the web, the less likely to be compromised. And my wife (who handles these things) can always pick up the phone and check for info regarding charges if the statement hasn’t arrived.
I’ll just put in my two cents (hah!) and mention our philosophy. My wife and I (going on 39 years now) decided never to use ATM cards nor even to have them. Also no debit cards. This can be a bit of a pain at the bank, since sometimes they ask for one of those two cards when we want to come in and do a transaction,…
I installed it and so far it doesn’t seem to have screwed up what I use Facebook for, which is to check the newsfeeds from the video game sites I follow. But we’ll see, it’s still early days. Now I’ll go to Amazon and order, say, a walrus and see if I get ads for walrus obedience schools or walrus Easter outfits.
Of the Far Cry series, I’ve only played Blood Dragon.
I’ve already pre-ordered Far Cry 5 for the PC, I’m above minimum specs and this might be my last big AAA title before I have to go negotiate a loan for a top end video card.
Nomorobo will get the job done for landlines.
For a lot of you out there that aren’t going to have really complicated returns but feel like you do need some assistance, the AARP Foundation Tax-aide program provides free tax preparation assistance. Check out their website for sites near you.
Or because they are Chrysler :)
I’m thinking this has a lot to do with the owner too. My last two cars went over 200K. My 1991 Pontiac Bonneville reached 236K before my wife made me sell it because the hood had warped a bit and getting it open without tools was problematical. And then my 2002 Mercury Grand Marque got to 216K before my wife convinced…
I saw a news report that she stepped in front of the car, although that is not confirmed. If true, there’s not much computer or human could have done if it was close.
Facebook doesn’t make any sense to me.
But jeez, who cares if Facebook knows I like Pepsi?
Thanks for the article, I wasn’t aware of these settings.
I’ve got an hour in it so far and it’s really very good. For heaven’s sake, no matter how good you think you are, start on Easy.
