For me, upgrading from Firefox 56 Quantum (Firefox 57) has been pretty nice. It is faster, has some nice built in features and I’m now no longer getting the occasional lockup I used to get with early versions.

Absolutely mind blowing.
Wouldn’t explain the scaffolding. The crane is wrong too. If you were disassembling it, they probably could just drag the blocks off and down earthwork ramps that spiraled up the sides, which, if I remember correctly, is what archaeologists think that the ancient Egyptians used to build them.
Is there any decent Dakar video coverage in the USA other than NBCSN? I’m not talking about quickie YouTube videos, I’m looking for some in-depth coverage of not only the actual racing, but other items like the servicing, the daily driver/co-driver briefings, stuff like that. I’ve been following the Dakar for years,…
Just in case anyone is still following this thread, the launch was postponed twice and is, as of right now, scheduled for tonight at 8pm EST. Weather looks good although there are some clouds in the area. And SpaceX will be attempting to land the first stage back on the Cape.
I just left Brevard on Friday, how’s the forecast?
You folks up north are welcome to this weather. Down here on the east coast of central Florida (near the Kennedy Space Center) we’ve had drizzle for two days followed last night and today by three inches of rain. And it’s been cold and blowing for those three days and tonight the temp is going down to freezing. And I…
“As for controls, the only things you don’t do with the 15-inch desktop computer-sized screen in the center of the car are:
The eastern U.S. and basically all of Canada are the most anomalously cold places on the planet right now.
Yes, I know paper grows on trees. I also know good manners.
Ah, we don’t burn coal down here, it’s natural gas for power plants.
We keep the tissue paper as well. We press it out between boards to get it as flat as possible for storage. We also keep old wrapping paper and packing material; these become more necessary as we no longer get a daily paper.
Our recyclers here in Florida are fine with tape or staples, the way they process paper turns it into a sludge anyway and they filter out the non-papery stuff.
Actually for the launch of the Falcon Heavy we’re thinking of going up to Titusville (just north of us) and just bring lawn chairs and sit on the edge of the Indian River. It’s a straight, unobstructed view right to Pad A and you can even plan to be near a couple of restaurants in case launch gets delayed.
I live just under sixteen miles from the launch pad, so I’m sure to get a good view even from here at the house. Heck, I used to work at that pad. I hope he doesn’t mess things up too bad if it does blow up.
If I was his neighbor, I would force-choke that noisy bastard to the great beyond.
Mine were during playing Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising back over ten years ago. I remember that some of the best moments were when I opted to not be in the front line but rather pilot a transport helo to get my troopers up to the action from their home base. It might not be someone else’s moment of glory, but it…
I swear, the government ruins everything.
Not quite dead. From this article in Engadget,
“Hmm...this kind of implies that they’re going to buy the Fox broadcasting network, but I’m reading that’s not the case, which would make sense as they already own ABC.”
