I don’t get why this idea isn’t more popular. I thought the reason they used bigger bombs in the past was because there were no guidance systems, now that it seems like we can drop bombs on a target the size of a tennis ball, why aren’t the explosions smaller?

This sounds like a Horde vs. Alliance exercise. They have “dragons”, but we have “Gryphon Riders”.

This video totally reminded me of the end of the Charlotte’s Web animated movie, when (spoiler) all of Charlotte’s spiderlets are carried off by the breeze on their silk threads.

The whole thing makes me think of the LOTR and the Riders of Rohan. You’ve even got Bannon playing the part of Wormtongue.

I like them too, and they’re American so I wonder why SEALs wouldn’t want to use an American firearm.

Just admit it, action movies just make cocking/decocking hammers look cool. I don’t blame you.

I’m probably the only one, but it’s always seemed weird to me that America’s most elite forces do not exclusively use American brand name firearms.

I think I agree in regards to highly-trained individuals, but in other circumstances where people with little to no experience might be shooting, a safety doesn’t seem like a bad idea.

Doesn’t the Sig P250 meet all of these same requirements that they are adopting the Glock 19 for?

Foot or by aircraft.

Can you define “objectively better” in this context?

It makes me wonder what other ideas DARPA has for mounting on public services vehicles, like Stingray type surveillance devices. I hope they don’t get too crazy with this sort of thing.

If they really want something low cost for “right now”, why don’t drones suffice? Also, if they really want this aircraft for areas with low anti-air resistance, wouldn’t a helicopter, Osprey, or otherwise VTOL aircraft be more ideal?

Where was this attitude during the 2003 invasion of Iraq?

Hopefully Steve Bannon will learn that about China.

Maybe name the carriers after the 13 original colonies, that way there’s sort of an upper limit to how many carriers in the fleet?

Now playing

I can’t help but think of this whenever I see any references to Gerald Ford:

Who’s Tyler?

He’s gotta have rallies there now while it’s still above water.

Just because both you and me have dirty laundry doesn’t mean we both don’t have to wash our clothes any more.
