As far as BMWs go, the E46 is one of the most reliable, if not THE most reliable. Set aside time and not a lot of money for cooling system work every 60k miles, and keep coil packs and window regulators handy, and you’ll be set.

I hate these cars with a passion, but they have some of the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in.
