Just a heads up, on many newer(ish?) cars, you can reflash the BCM to account for DRLs where required, like our frozen neighbor to the North, Canadia.
There really are laws that are there to stop that, but they aren't enforced. Or the person puts a drop hitch on as a 'bumper'.
Finally, my Jalopnik/Kotaku job doppelganger.
I feel your pain. I do warranty claims. I work with customers and repair shops. I'm pretty much the Antichrist to some people
I can't recall ever complaining that security was too high when it comes to my information...
Ditto. Going through the post made me think there was no remorse, he stopped because it wasn't fun...
I caught a red brick from an overpass in Columbus, OH. I wasn't hurt. There was no accident. I called the police and the gist of the conversation was that I didn't see anyone, they can't do much...
I'm sorry, I read that as ' I clunked the handicapped parking sign with my crotch...' I was profoundly confused until I re-read it.
I doubt they'll get the DUI to stick... I was hit by a drunk driver to locked his car up and RAN home. When the police got there, he was still drunk. The charges did not stick because the police did not witness him at the accident drunk.

My inner conspiracy theorist says that it's because much of the policy, educational and otherwise, is dictated by the 1%. The 1% makes money off you and I, so it's important to keep us in the dark as much as possible. A good credit score means lower interest rates and less revenue.
Honestly, they're pretty good other than the valve seal issue, but that happens on all of these engines. IIRC, the electric parking brake module can be pricey...
As someone who's worked in the industry, I've watched as dealer employees changed the addresses and phone numbers in the records for Customer's they knew would give them a bad survey...
You won't bust a wheel stud at 100 ft/lbs even if the car's specifications say 76 or 80 ft/lbs. Most of your mechanics aren't using a toque wrench, they wail on the lug nuts until they get to German Torque Specs.
This. And marriage. I had no friends when I got married. They all faded away.
Be proud my emotionally distant brother!
